Our beginnings
El Hueco de Medellín is known for being a very important commercial sector, where you can find a variety of products ranging from clothing, shoes, household items, among others, to stationery and sundry products. In 1991, when trade was not yet fully segmented, but rather a single place could offer items from different areas, we realized that there was a specific need related to stationery products. This is when Distribuciones Fargo was created; as it is registered in the Chamber of Commerce, but also known as Fargo stationery.
Meeting customer needs
Seeing an unmet demand for stationery supplies in downtown Medellín, Fernando Aristizabal, owner of Distribuciones Fargo, became the first stationer in the El Hueco sector. This was because, to obtain some of these products, one had to go to many different stores or travel very far. This is how a range of products was conceived that would meet the needs of our customers without neglecting other products. However, Fernando found it necessary to focus on just one thing. This is how Fargo stationery was left in charge of his nephew and the new company, Comercializadora Panafargo, was registered.
Stationery and art store
Behind all of this, there was a great deal of research and learning that would ultimately lead us to be recognized as a leading company in the stationery sector, with wholesale and retail sales, to meet the needs of businesses, students, and households. Our philosophy has always been to differentiate ourselves from other businesses, and so far, we have succeeded, earning the trust and credibility of all those who have bought from us and always return for good service and quality items.
Panafargo, pioneers in stationery
In our company, you can find everything from basic stationery items like pencils, erasers, and papers, among others, to specialized products for art, architectural supplies, and more. Additionally, we are official distributors in Colombia for some international art brands like Karin and Sakura.
