What Is A Posca Marker? 

The Posca Marker was created in the early 80s and quickly became one of the best tools for urban culture artists, especially graffiti artists. Thanks to the characteristics of the marker, many artists accepted it among their main tools, as it met the needs of artists. Today, Posca markers are one of the main promoters of art in various styles and for artists of all ages, making artworks a universal language. 

What Is The Characteristic Of A Posca Marker? 

The Posca Marker adheres to various materials on surfaces where common markers struggle; they can adhere to wood, textiles, leather, glass, ceramics, paper, cardboard, plastic, metals, and even minerals. The tip of the Posca marker is of excellent quality. Its finish allows for a fluid and uniform stroke when gliding the tip. Thanks to its pump system, the tip receives enough paint, and the rest remains in the pump system. A rich, high-density, water-based pigment ink. It allows for a very opaque ink in matte and also bright colors. 

How to Use Posca Markers? 

  1. Before use, the marker should be shaken very well (it is important that the cap is closed), and you will hear the ball inside mixing the ink components again. 
  2. The tip should be pumped on a surface other than the work area to verify that it has the desired amount of paint and that there are no drips. 
  3. If, while creating the artwork, the marker loses strength, it is necessary to repeat the previous steps and continue painting. 
  4. You can clean the marker tip with tap water as often as needed. It can even be left submerged in water overnight.
