What are Balsa wood sheets used for?  

  • Mainly for aeromodelling, architectural models, and general modelling. 
  • Construction of tanks for chemical products, tubs, baths for wind generators, automobiles, trucks, boats.  

How are Balsa wood sheets used?  

  • Balsa is very easy to work with and it is not necessary to use electric saws or any of the other tools normally used for hardwoods. With a utility knife or a hand saw and a sanding block, it can be worked comfortably.  
  • Therefore, it can be cut, sawn, bent (when the grain direction allows it), sanded, and glued.
