How is it made?

Mirado 2 Triangular, Hexagonal, and Round barrel pencils are industrially manufactured by mixing finely ground graphite and clay powder, adding water, forming long leads that are baked in a kiln (thermally insulated compartments). The resulting leads are immersed in oil or molten wax, which filters into the minute holes of the material, resulting in smoother writing. A wooden plank with several long parallel grooves is cut to form a slat, and the graphite and clay strips are inserted into the grooves. Another grooved plank is glued on top, so the final assembly is to cut everything into individual pencils, which are then varnished or painted.   **Images may be product references and examples *Subject to changes in price and availability of quantities and colors; we will contact you if any news occurs
