★★★★★ What are mechanical pencils?

Mechanical pencils are frequently used because they are reliable, their strokes can be erased, lead refills are very cost-effective, and therefore they are a very sustainable product. They can be used for sketching, drawing, and writing. Many illustrators use mechanical pencils to design their artwork before finishing it with India ink. Focusing on a more technical and demanding audience, mechanical pencils allow for a more comfortable grip. Generally, they always have the same lead thickness. Additionally, they are lighter in weight. Their cushioned lead is well protected against breakage, and since it is fully retractable, it won't puncture your pocket fabric.

Which lead is better, 0.5 or 0.7 mm leads?

The 0.7 mm lead. Ideal for numerical writing, as it is a stronger lead and writes smoothly. When writing, it is not necessary to press as hard as with a 0.5 mm lead, which leaves fewer grooves on the paper when erasing mistakes.

How to insert lead into a Faber Castell mechanical pencil?

How do I refill leads in a standard or retractable-tip mechanical pencil? To refill the lead, you must first remove the eraser from the back of the mechanical pencil. Insert three to five leads into the hole and replace the eraser.

Which lead is best for drawing?

Soft leads draw darker lines while hard leads draw lighter lines. For drawing, a hard lead is ideal for outlining, then darkening and shading with a soft lead.
