Before painting any garment on fabric, we must wash it very well to remove any sizing, but do not use fabric softeners as they can cause the garment to repel the paint; depending on the fabric, you may or may not need to stretch it, but it is important that it is ironed. Then, we need to think of an idea or draw a sketch on paper first, so that we can later transfer it to the fabric with carbon paper or other material. The first step is to draw the design on the fabric, using a pencil or carbon paper. It is important to place absorbent paper underneath the fabric to prevent paint from bleeding into areas you don't want to paint. With a fine brush, we begin to paint the outlines of the figure. It is important to use specific fabric paint. With a larger brush, we fill in the drawing and create effects with different colors, being careful not to go outside the lines. Once finished, we let it dry for about 24 hours.
