★★★★★ What is Franco Arte varnish for? 

Franco Arte Artistic Varnish (fixative) for oil paints. It is used to varnish or fix with a matte or glossy finish, depending on preference, works made using different drawing or painting techniques. 

We have two types of varnish for painting: varnish for oil paint and varnish that is NOT for oil paint.

Franco Arte ARTISTIC VARNISH FOR OIL PAINT is colorless, non-yellowing, and fast-drying. It is used to protect works or projects made with oil paint and delicate works such as oxides, patinas, among others, against dust, UV rays, humidity, friction, and aging. THIS AEROSOL DOES NOT HARM THE OZONE LAYER. Artistic varnish for all types of paints except oil, this varnish is the same as the other varnish —colorless, non-yellowing, fast-drying, used to protect against dust, etc.— except that it is not for oil paint.

What materials can Franco Arte varnish be used on?

What are the benefits of Franco Arte varnish?

• Creates a very resistant film to prevent color change. 
• It is resistant to humidity and aging. 
• Fast-drying. 

 

How is aerosol varnish used? 

Both types of varnish work the same way.

1. The varnish is applied once the paint is completely dry (approximately 3 to 6 months). 
2. The surface must be clean and free of dust, moisture, and grease. 
3. Place the surface to be worked on vertically. 
4. Shake the container until you hear the ball rattling, approximately 1 minute; do this before and during application. 
5. Perform a test application first. 
6. For subsequent coats, wait 5 minutes before applying the next coat.
