What is the Color Wheel? 

The color wheel or color circle is a graphic where colors are segmented and organized based on primary or base colors. These CMY (cyan, magenta, and yellow) colors are obtained from the decomposition of sunlight, dividing into magenta, red, yellow, green, cyan, and dark blue. 

What is the Rosette Color Wheel? 

The color triangle is a kind of roulette made of cardboard. It was developed for understanding color mixtures in art, color selection, and computer design in CMYK format. In the main or base circle, we find 16 colors, including primary and secondary, and warm and cool.In the upper circle, we find yellow, cyan, magenta, black, and white, and turning the wheel shows us the result of combining the base colors with the upper ones. 

How to Use the Rosette Color Wheel? 

We must turn the upper circle, placing the arrow of the color to add (cyan, magenta, yellow, black, or white) on one of the basic colors to modify. You will see the result in the oval window (perforated). To obtain the mixture, you should start by mixing 50% of the primary color and 50% of the basic color (the colors of the large base circle). Then, add small amounts until you achieve the desired color. Important: Basic and primary colors must be as pure as possible to avoid muddying the final results.
