★★★★★ What is a stapler?

A stapler is a device used to join sheets of paper, plastic, or thin sheets by inserting a staple. They are mostly used by students, office workers, or for any general use in stationery due to their practical use of joining pieces of paper in common documents. PartsA manual stapler consists of four articulated elements mounted on an axis:

• The base, which has two guides that direct the staple ends to fold them, either bringing them together or spreading them apart.
• The staple magazine, at the end of which there are two slots: the upper one, through which the cutter enters; and the lower one, through which the staple exits.
• The pusher, inserted into the magazine, which slides on a rod and is actuated by a spring to push the staples towards the slot.
• The cover, which incorporates a cutter that, when lowered, drives the first staple from the magazine into the paper.
