What are the characteristics of the paint palette?

The paint palette is part of the basic tools of a painter, accompanied by a paint canvas, paints  and other things.Cleanliness and order are fundamental rules for good care of all our tools and products. It's no use investing money in craft products if we don't ensure their durability.  

How to arrange the palette for painting? 

Each artist finds their personal way of distributing colors according to the range they are using; generally, black, white, and then the shades, reds, yellows, greens, and blues are placed on the outer edge, which are mixed and blended with the brush in the central part of the palette to achieve the desired tones. An artist's palette can vary depending on the themes they address or their working periods.  

Another way to organize your paint palette: 

  • From left to right, white, yellow, red, carmine, ultramarine, Prussian blue, green, ocher, sienna, umber, black. 
  • In this type of palettes, I distribute the colors in the same order. 
  • The types and sizes of palettes I use.
