How to use XL adhesive?
- Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are free of dust, grease, paint, moisture, mold release agents, or other non-stick agents that could prevent the adhesive from functioning properly.
- Apply a uniform layer of Traditional XL on the surfaces to be bonded.
- Allow the adhesive to dry for 15-20 minutes, or until it appears dry, depending on the ambient temperature.a. On porous substrates, a second coat of adhesive may be necessary.
- Perform the bond, applying uniform pressure using clamps or, at a minimum, striking them with a hammer in an appropriate manner.manner.
- To optimize adhesion strength, heat and moisture resistance, it is recommended to mix Traditional XL with Pegaucho Vulcanizer.a. The recommended level of Vulcanizer is 3-5% by weight relative to the adhesive and depending on the type of material.
- Maximum bond strength is achieved 72 hours after bonding.
