Which lead is better, 0.5 or 0.7 mm leads? 

The 0.7 mm lead. Ideal for numerical writing, as it is a more resistant and smooth writing lead. When writing, it is not necessary to press as hard as with a 0.5 mm lead, which leaves fewer grooves on the paper when erasing mistakes.  

How to put lead in a Faber Castell mechanical pencil? 

How do I refill the lead in a standard or retractable tip mechanical pencil? To refill the lead, you must first remove the eraser from the back of the mechanical pencil. Insert three to five leads into the opening and replace the eraser.
